Allen K. Dissmore was born at Kenosha, Wisconsin, December 17, 1953, the eldest son
of Lewis and Virginia Dissmore of that city, and spent time as a child in that area. When
Allen was four years old, the family moved to Boscobel, Wisconsin, where his father
accepted a pastorate at a local church. Allen began his elementary education in this town
and finished part of the second grade, when the family moved back to Kenosha,
Wisconsin, where Allen finished the second grade. In the fall of that year, Allen’s father
accepted a pastorate in Nekoosa, Wisconsin, where the family resided until November of
1965. Pastor Lewis Dissmore then moved the family to Viroqua, Wisconsin to accept
another pastorate, where Allen graduated from high school in 1972.
In 1972, Allen went to college at North Central Bible College in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
While attending college, he worked at NAPA, an auto parts company, where he held
several different positions. Allen also was a member of the college music program and
performed with two different groups, “The Gospel Hymns” and a comtemporary music
group called “New Dawn”, in which Allen did promotion for the college and traveled
extensively in the Midwest doing PR work for the college.
On September 14, 1974, Allen married Debbie Taves in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. After
being married for a year, Allen and Debbie moved to Hillsboro, Texas and bought a
business that they worked to expand for the next 11 years. Allen and Debbie had two
daughters born while there. Heidi was born May 23, 1980 and Heather was born October
4,1985. They were born at Hillcrest Hospital in Waco, Texas.
While in Hillsboro, Allen continued his education at Hill College and various other
institutions of higher learning to get his real estate education. In 1987, Allen received a
real estate license and sold his company in Hillsboro. He also served as City Councilman and was on the Planning and Zoning Committee.
Allen and Debbie moved to Burleson, Texas in August of 1987 and he began his real
estate career. By 1989, Allen was selling homes for builders and decided to make a
change to selling new homes full time for one builder. This arrangement evolved into a
career in homebuilding.
In 1994, Allen started a homebuilding company that had great success during the late
1990’s. By the end of 2002, Allen and Debbie closed down operations to pursue other
interests. After closing his homebuilding company, Allen started consulting and sales for new home builders while also doing and doing development work. In 2008, he decided to join The Pyron Team and enter the world of Real Estate Residential Sales.
Allen has served on several church boards and served as a Worship Leader for over 25-years. During this time he has also served on 2 different private school boards one in Hillsboro and one in Fort Worth.
Allen and his late wife, have four beautiful grandchildren who along with his two girls are the light of his life.
